5-MAN RaceTo-2

5-MAN Format:

  • 5 players on the field, up to 8 players on the roster
  • 5-minute games
  • Preliminary Round: Play one best two-of-three match against each of 4 opponents, minimum of 8 games, maximum of 12
  • One game point per flag hang. Two match points per win (obtain more match points than opponent to win), one match point for a tie, most match points advances.
  • Ties broken by most flags hung, then least game time elapsed in games where team hung flag.
Each team will play eight to twelve prelim games in the now familiar best two-of-three round-robin schedule but will now enjoy the same match scoring as the other RaceTo formats, earning one point per flag hang. The team with the most flag hangs at the end of the three games will receive two match points while teams ending a match in a tie will receive one match point each.

5-MAN Divisions:

Division 4 RaceTo-2 ($250.00 per team):

  • There may be no more than 10 people on a 5-MAN RaceTo-2 roster.
  • There may be no more than 8 players on a 5-MAN RaceTo-2 roster.
  • There may be no more than 5 staff members on a 5-MAN RaceTo-2 roster.
  • Any number of Division 4 or lower players and up to one Division 3 player may appear on a Division 4 (5-MAN) RaceTo-2 roster.
  • Rosters can include an unlimited combination of D6, D5, and D4 players.

Division 5 RaceTo-2 ($250.00 per team):

  • There may be no more than 10 people on a 5-MAN RaceTo-2 roster.
  • There may be no more than 8 players, on a 5-MAN RaceTo-2 roster.
  • There may be no more than 5 staff members on a 5-MAN RaceTo-2 roster.
  • Any number of Division 5 or lower players and up to one Division 4 player may appear on a Division 5 (5-MAN) RaceTo-2 roster.
  • Rosters can include an unlimited combination of D6 and D5 players.

Masters RaceTo-2 ($125.00 per team):

  • There may be no more than 10 people on a 5-MAN RaceTo-2 roster.
  • There may be no more than 5 staff members on a 5-MAN RaceTo-2 roster.
  • Minimum of 5, maximum of 8 players per roster, of which, 2 can be under the age of 40 but over the age of 30. Team average age must be over 40.001

3-Man RaceTo-2

3-Man Format:

  • 3 players on the field, up to 5 players on the roster
  • 3-minute games
  • Preliminary Rounds: Play one best two-of-three match against each of 4 opponents. Minimum of 8 games, maximum of 12.
  • One game point per flag hang. Two match points per win (obtain more match points than opponent to win), one match point for a tie, most match points advances.
  • Ties broken head to head matches, then least game time elapsed in games where team hung flag.

3-Man Divisions:

Division 4/5 RaceTo-2 ($150.00 per team):

  • There may be no more than 6 people on a 3-Man RaceTo-2 team.
  • There may be no more than 5 players, on a 3-Man RaceTo-2 roster.
  • There may be no more than 2 staff members on a 3-Man RaceTo-2 roster.
  • A 3-Man RaceTo-2 roster can not have any D3 or higher ranked players.
  • Rosters can include an unlimited combination of D6, D5, and D4 players.

Division 6 RaceTo-2 (Beginners Only) ($125.00 per team):

  • There may be no more than 6 people on a 3-Man RaceTo-2 roster.
  • There may be no more than 5 players, on a 3-Man RaceTo-2 roster.
  • There may be no more than 2 staff members on a 3-Man RaceTo-2 roster.
  • A 3-Man RaceTo-2 roster can not have any D5 or higher ranked players.
  • Rosters can include an unlimited combination of D6 and beginner players.

RaceTo-4 (XBALL)

RaceTo-4 Format:

  • 5 players on the field
  • GAME TIMES AND MERCY LIMITS
    • Division 3 & 4

    • 12 Minutes
    • 4 point lead
  • Preliminary Rounds: Play one best four-of-seven match against each of 4 opponents.
  • One game point per flag hang. Two match points per win (obtain more match points than opponent to win), one match point for a tie, most match points advances.
  • Ties broken head to head matches, then least game time elapsed in games where team hung flag.
  • SPLIT DECK SYSTEM
    • Events that use the split deck system will follow the normal Timed Race Format structure with the additions outlined below.
    • Teams A and B play a point followed by a break period. During the break period of teams A and B, teams C and D will play a point.
    • A break period for a match (A and B) will be at least two minutes long.
    • In the event that either match (A and B) or (C and D) ends, the remaining match will continue with the standard 2-miniute-break period.

RaceTo-4 Divisions:

Division 4 RaceTo-4 ($400.00 per team):

  • There may be no more than 17 people on a RaceTo-4 roster.
  • There may be no more than 12 players on a RaceTo-4 roster.
  • There may be no more than 5 staff members on a RaceTo-4 roster.
  • Any number of Division 4 or lower players may appear on a Division 4 roster, plus Up to two Division 3 players, or

    Up to one Division 3 player and up to one Division 2 player with a classification rating no higher than 1476, provided the sum of the classification ratings of the top two players on the roster is no higher than 1968.
  • Rosters can include an unlimited combination of D6, D5, and D4 players.

Division 3 RaceTo-4 ($400.00 per team):

  • There may be no more than 17 people on a RaceTo-4 roster.
  • There may be no more than 12 players on a RaceTo-4 roster.
  • There may be no more than 5 staff members on a RaceTo-4 roster.
  • Any number of Division 3 or lower players may appear on a Division 3 roster plus up to two Division 2 players, or up to one Division 2 player and up to one Division 1 (Semi-Pro) player with a classification rating no higher than 2952, providing the sum of the classification ratings of the top two players on the roster is no higher than 3936.
  • Rosters can include an unlimited combination of D6, D5, D4 and D3 players.
